New Feature: Clear Clothing Specs on Every Product Page
Great merch starts with great choices — and those choices are way easier to make when you know what you're getting. That’s why we’ve added a new section to every clothing product on the Nerds website: Composition, Fit, Fabric, Weight & Sizes.
It’s a small change with a big impact: clearer info, smarter decisions, and fewer surprises. Here’s how it helps you (and your team) pick the perfect piece of merch.
1. Composition – Know What It’s Made Of
Not all cotton is the same. Not all polyester is bad. We tell you exactly what the garment is made from — down to the blend and certification (like GOTS organic or rPET recycled).
- 🧵 100% Organic Cotton – soft, breathable, and better for the planet
- 💪 Cotton/Poly Blend – adds strength and shape retention
- ♻️ Recycled Materials – lower impact, same great feel
It helps you make the right call for your values, use case, and feel.
2. Fit – So You Know What to Expect
We’re super clear about the cut: is it fitted, relaxed, or oversized? That way you (and your client, or your team) can order with confidence.
- 👕 Unisex Classic Fit – like the Creator 2.0, clean and balanced
- 🌀 Relaxed Fit – like the Sparker 2.0, slightly looser with room to breathe
- 🏀 Oversized Fit – like the Freestyler or Slammer, streetwear-style and bold
No more guessing from photos alone — you know exactly how it wears.
3. Fabric – Texture and Finish Matter
We include how the fabric feels, not just what it's made of. Is it brushed? Heavy? Smooth? Textured? These little details affect comfort and perceived quality — and we want you to know them upfront.
Examples:
- 🧶 Brushed Fleece – soft and cozy inside (like the Cruiser hoodie)
- 🧊 Loose-Knit Cotton – gives a vintage, washed look (like the Sparker tee)
- ✨ Matte Finish – modern, premium, and easy to style
4. Weight – Light or Heavy? Now You Know
We list the gsm (grams per square meter) for every product so you can understand the thickness and feel of the garment.
- 💨 160–180gsm – lightweight, breathable (e.g. Creator 2.0)
- ⚖️ 200–220gsm – midweight, with a premium handfeel
- 💪 240–350gsm – heavyweight and bold (e.g. Freestyler, Slammer)
Knowing the weight helps you decide if it’s better for summer, layering, or cold-weather coziness.
5. Sizes – Easy to Find and Match
No more hidden dropdowns or mystery sizing. Our size info is now clear and consistent across all clothing pages. You’ll see:
- 📏 Available size range (e.g. XS–XXL)
- 🧍 Sizing tips based on the fit (“true to size,” “size down for fitted look,” etc.)
- 📐 Links to detailed size charts, when needed
Whether you’re ordering 10 hoodies or 500 T-shirts, it just makes everything smoother.
Why We Did This
We’re all about making merch that’s clear, intentional, and built to last. Adding this info helps you choose the right product, get the right fit, and make sure everyone receiving your merch is stoked — not confused.
More clarity = less back-and-forth + better results.
